Early Years (Nursery, LKG and UKG)
Our Early Years Programme spans three years and nurtures the young child’s curiosity. Our students acquire knowledge in a caring, creative and open-minded environment with a strong emphasis on individual learning styles. The activities and experiences provided for the students are designed to capture their interest in learning, encouraging them to be creative and at the same time to satisfy their desire to explore and discover.
We combine the Inquiry Approach and Montessori philosophies of education to:

At TIPS Hyderabad, we follow the Learning Centre culture, where our classrooms are learner-centric, facilitating the needs of the learners. Our various zones outlined below offer a fun filled learning experience to our young learners
- Whole group zone – learners are given instructions about the day’s activities at various centres;
- Small group zone – interactions happen between the Facilitator and the students on a one-on-one basis;
- Exploration zone – enables learners to explore activities pertaining to the concept of the day;
- Math zone – concepts of numbers are imparted through play-way method;
- Construction zone – learners are provided with materials to give shape to their imagination concerning a particular concept;
- Theater zone – facilitates role play of a concept with the provided materials;
- Reading corner – presents a plethora of books based on the concept that the learner can choose to amuse himself/herself with.
- Cookery zone – enables learners to know more about food varieties and allows them to have hands on experience to flameless cooking.
- Tech Zone – Exposes children to the world of technology through ICT devices.

Primary (Grade 1 – Grade 5)
“The CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) envisions a robust, vibrant and holistic school education that will engender excellence in every sphere of human endeavor. The Board commits itself to providing a stress-free learning environment that will develop competent, confident and enterprising citizens who will promote harmony and peace”.
The primary curriculum is based on the NCERT framework as per the CBSE syllabus. The subjects are:
- Ist language – English
- IInd language – Hindi or Telugu
- Mathematics – Development of Number concepts, elementary Geometry and Mental Math.
- Science will introduce the world of innovations through activities, observation and discovery.
- Environmental studies will make children understand the real situations happening in their surroundings and reacts to the environmental issues (natural, physical, social, and cultural)
- Introduction to computers with theory and practical hands on experience, will prepare the students for the seamless world of connected learning.
- Students will have holistic learning through value education, Arts and crafts, Music and contemporary dance along with various Sports activities.
Assessments
The students have continuous assessments through Unit Tests, Class Tests, Worksheets, Mental Math and Dictations as part of the evaluation process. The assessment also includes conduct, discipline and the participation of the student in the activities of the school. Progress reports of the child will be discussed and handed over during the Parent-Teacher Meetings.
Lower Secondary (Grade 6 – 7)
The students have the main subjects studied at the primary level along with an additional language. Subjects offered include

- Second Language: (Hindi, Telugu)
- Third Language: (Hindi, Telugu)
- Science(Physics, Chemistry, Biology – combined)
- Social Studies(History, Civics and Geography-combined)
- Mathematics
- Computer Science
The students are also encouraged to learn through experimentation and practical activities, and the curriculum is based on team work. The basic concepts of Math and Science are taught through activities in Math and Science labs. Projects, ICT enabled learning, mark this phase of studies.
Assessments
Formative and Summative tests are done to evaluate the child’s academic performance at this stage. The academic calendar is divided into two terms with Unit Tests and Term examination at the end of the two semesters.
Internal Assessments are part of the curriculum and are done to regularly assess the performance of the students in academics that includes class tests, projects and assignments, conduct, participation in the indoor/outdoor activities. These are included during the finals and the promotions will depend on the overall performance of the student in the exams, and internal assessments. Regularity to school is as important as scoring high grades in academics.
CBSE Secondary – Grade 9 & 10
The School follows an integrated two year curriculum and assessment by CBSE. This Scheme aims at the holistic development of students along with the academic rigour needed as they progress in their academic journey. This paves way for regular and continuous evaluation whereby keeping track of the academics and helping them improve consistently.

Assessments
- Formative and Summative tests are done to evaluate the child’s academic performance at this stage. Students are prepared for the board exams at Grade X level by CBSE through continuous revisions, class tests, past paper assessments and board exam simulations.
CBSE Senior Secondary Grade 11 & 12
The Senior Secondary programme at TIPS is based upon strong academic roots. The curriculum envisages individualized personal learning acumen and seeks to explore the potential of students in acquiring substantial knowledge and skills through academic rigors. With greater academic orientation and research skills in core academic areas, students would evolve as discerning young adults with a sense of real self-esteem having true values and principles.
